You are in God’s grip forever

When you’ve invested so much into someone, no matter what caused the separation, it pains you to see them go, because as they go, it’s as if they take a part of you with them. They leave you behind to try and make sense of whatever is left.

Though your heart may feel torn between what you had and what you lost, God is still holding your hearts safely in His hands. You might feel like you’ve lost everything, but you haven’t. You are still in His grip and He is never letting go. Your heart is a precious to Him, and no matter what pain has found its way there, it still belongs to the Lord.

Don’t spend all of your time thinking about what you could have said differently, or how things would be fine had that certain thing never happened. Instead, fix your mind on talking to God about all of it…now. And if it’s bothering you to the point that you can hardly think about anything else, talk to Him more, again and again. Now is not the time to hide away in the heartbreak. Now is the time to give it to Him. Surround yourself with the kind of people that are going to remind you what matters most and give you biblical wisdom and encouragement.

This is all apart of being in God’s grip.

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. – Jesus (John‬ ‭10:28‬)

Having faith in Jesus means that you are never separated from Him. No matter what the other relationships in your life are like, you are in His grip forever.
